Puppeteer
Samuel is a founding member of Kazbah Theatre and has worked extensively with the company for the past two years. Alongside Artistic Director, Andy Evans and with fellow co-creators, the shows are usually devised around a theme or for a particular event. The shows to date have used hand and rod puppetry with the exception of Cirque Du Pierre (2024) and Ruby and the Lighthouse (2026) performed with bunraku-style puppetry.

Create North East Lincolnshire's Development Fund
November 2023 - February 2024

Samuel received funding from Create North East Lincolnshire's Development Fund to develop his puppetry skills. The fund allowed him to build a bank of resources for research on the fundamentals and history of puppetry, exploring different styles of puppetry, techniques and puppetry companies. He used the fund to see puppetry shows alongside training. Samuel trained with Natasha Holmes (Tell Tale Hearts Children's Touring Theatre Company), Kathleen Yore (Odd Doll) and Sophie Powell (PuppetBox). ​
From March 2025 - June 2026 Samuel was a Supported Artist of the SO Festival. The development scheme supported him and the other artists with training opportunities, go-sees and idea development.
